A Walk in Central Park

Central Park. A familiar scene that we see in every movie that takes place in New York. Out of the many sights we could choose from to see, this was definitely on top of the list. So much so that we dedicated an entire day to exploring the vast piece of nature, right in the middle of the city.

Because Spring had only begun, the trees were still bare and the recent snowstorm left patches of snow on the ground. But don't get me wrong, the scenery was still so beautiful. With so many tall trees lining the many paths to take, just walking through this park was an adventure in itself. There were a number of hidden nooks we were able to discover, which I'm sure is only a handful of the many more sights of the park left to be seen. Every angle gave us a new way to look at this beautiful piece of nature; to look at the city and the tall towers poking out from the top of the trees.

One place that I really wanted to see was the Bethesda Terrace and Fountain. This area of the park greeted us with grand ceilings entailed with beautiful and intricate designs. As we walked under the terrace, magnificent voices began to fill the air as a group of performers sang to the song Hallelujah, which made this moment even more precious and like we were in a movie.

This landmark is definitely a must see when you visit the city. It's a place where you can find peace and relaxation amongst the hustle and bustle of the city. I can only imagine how much more beautiful it looks when the trees are full of leaves and flowers are growing everywhere; how it feels to be there in the warmth of the summer sun.
